Portsmouth Yardstick numbers

Portsmouth Yardstick (PY) numbers are a national standard for comparing the performance potential of different dinghy classes. A higher number means a slower boat. The numbers below are used as the starting point for personal handicaps at HSC.

PY numbers are reviewed annually by the RYA. This table is updated each spring by the Racing Officer. For the definitive national list, see the RYA website.
